Privacy Policy
We keep data collection minimal and never sell it. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account data — your name, handle, email, and (if you sign in with a provider like Google or GitHub) the basic profile that provider shares.
- Content you create — posts, comments, reactions, bookmarks, and follows.
- Usage & device data — pages viewed and basic technical details (browser, approximate region) to keep the Site fast, secure, and working.
How we use it
To run the Site: authenticate you, show your activity, send notifications you've opted into, prevent abuse, and understand which content is useful so we can improve. We do not sell your personal data.
Cookies & analytics
We use essential cookies for sign-in and preferences (such as your light/dark theme). We use privacy-respecting analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to measure aggregate traffic. You can block cookies in your browser, though some features may stop working.
Third parties
We rely on service providers to operate — hosting, email delivery, search, and the OAuth providers you choose to sign in with. They process data only to provide their service to us. Aggregated content links out to original sources, whose own privacy policies apply once you leave the Site.
Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. Delete your account and we'll remove your personal data, except where we're required to retain records by law.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Manage most of this from your account settings, or reach us via the About page for anything else.
Children
The Site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We'll update this policy as needed and revise the "last updated" date above.
