What is this?

This is a public, modular Agent Skills package for Android app work. It gives AI coding agents an orchestrator skill plus focused subskills, checklists, templates, examples and validation scripts.

Included skills

Design and UX skills added in v0.5.0

The v0.5.0 release adds a contextual design layer for AI-built Android apps. The rule is simple: test first, design second. If the app does not build or the relevant tests fail, the agent should stop and report the failure before changing UI.

  • design-test-gate: verifies build/tests before UI, UX or visual refactor work.
  • context-aware-ui-design: adapts UI decisions to domain, target users, primary flow, data sensitivity, environment and risk.
  • compose-contextual-design-system: shapes Material 3 Compose tokens and reusable components around the app context.
  • screen-ux-audit: reviews a screen for UX clarity, hierarchy, accessibility, state coverage and visual-performance risk.
  • ui-state-design: designs loading, empty, content, error, offline, permission and sensitive-data states as testable UI contracts.

Use these skills in AI-generated apps before accepting visual changes. Start by asking the agent to run the gate, inspect the app context, and only then propose design changes that preserve ViewModels, navigation, Firebase, repositories and existing architecture.

Example audit prompt:

Use $super-android-kotlin-firebase to run design-test-gate, then audit this Android Compose app design before modifying files. If build/tests fail, stop and report the failure. If they pass, use context-aware-ui-design, screen-ux-audit and ui-state-design to recommend safe UX improvements.

Historical sources and attribution

This repository was built up to v0.4.4 using a broad review of public Android, Kotlin, Firebase, Jetpack Compose, Agent Skills, AI-agent and sample-app repositories.

The complete historical provenance audit is in docs/audits/HISTORICAL_SOURCE_PROVENANCE_V0_4_4.md.

Those sources are used as reference and inspiration, not as vendored copies. External SKILL.md bodies, source files, scripts, examples and reference guides are not intentionally copied into this repo.

Why --full-depth?

Use --full-depth because this repository has a root orchestrator skill plus nested subskills under skills/. Without it, the CLI may list only the root super-android-kotlin-firebase skill.
